Job Creation and Workforce Development Summit with Keynote Address by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will give a keynote address at the NYC Global Partners summit "Job Creation and Workforce Development." Panel discussions will feature experts from Barcelona, London, New York City, Shanghai, Santiago, Toronto, and the OECD.  Presentations will highlight successful policies and initiatives to train a competitive urban workforce.  The program features:  

Panel I: Transforming Adult Workforce Systems through Local Government Policy


This panel will examine strategies to build a competitive urban workforce system that link to economic development goals, as well as discuss how the workforce system has been able to respond to increasing unemployment resulting from the recent economic downturn.
