"The Inverse Born Series for Diffuse Waves"

We consider the inverse scattering problem for diffuse waves. We characterize the convergence, stability and approximation error of the solution to this problem which derives from inversion of the Born series. Numerical simulations for spherically symmetric absorbing media in two and three dimensions will be presented. We then discuss the possible use of the inverse Born series approach for other problems such as propagating scalar waves and Electrical Impedance Tomography.
