The Earth Institute's Columbia Climate Center is pleased to announce that it will host an international workshop on November 3rd & 4th entitled, “Carbon Management: Education & Practice.”
Education for carbon management is gaining momentum as the challenges of a carbon-constrained world come into clearer focus. A new workforce is required to help create the conditions and implement the myriad changes required to bring about a functioning, low-carbon world economy. This workforce must be highly adaptable, with interdisciplinary training in physical, natural and social sciences, engineering, economics, business and law.
The workshop will provide a forum for researchers, educators and practitioners in relevant disciplines from around the world to discuss approaches to training a new workforce that will be able to face the challenge of integrating carbon management globally and across sectors.
This is a closed workshop and participation is by invitation only.
