Join CCE on a Site Visit to visit Apollo Theater!

By attending this visit, you will have an opportunity to:

-Learn about the Apollo’s history and why it is considered an icon of American entertainment.

-Receive a tour of the world renown venue. -Meet with members of the Apollo’s Programming Department

-Receive information about various careers/job types at the Apollo and in the arts and entertainment industries

-Hear about and receive information on the Apollo’s 2012-13 season About Apollo Theater

* Apollo Theater is participating in the CCE’s Columbia Arts Experience Spring Internship Program and is currently accepting spring 2013 interns applications through LionSHARE. 

About Apollo Theater:

Since 1934, the Apollo Theater has played a major role in the emergence of innovative musical genres and American entertainment. Designated a state and city landmark designation in 1983, the Apollo is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The legendary venue has launched the careers of icons such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, James Brown and Lauryn Hill and continues to maintain its position as the nation’s most popular arena for emerging and established African-American and Latino performers.  The Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation and development of the legendary.

Registration required? Yes.
Resume required? Resume is not required;  however recommended that you bring it with you. 
Eligibility? This event is open to all Undergraduate and Graduate students at Columbia University from the following schools: Columbia College, Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of General Studies, School of Continuing Education, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and School of the Arts.
