Mimedia is a media cloud technology firm, and I think we're the coolest mid-sized startup east of the Mississippi. Right now we're taking on interns for our top secret Third Rail Project, an alternate R&D pipeline completely populated by interns and experienced mentors.

I created the TRP to provide the absolute highest level of intern involvement in any serious NYC tech firm. You'll work alongside other developers, as well as artists, musicians, and filmmakers, to code unique applications off of mimedia's robust cloud platform. 

The time commitment is as much or as little as you make it, though you are required to attend weekly ideation and presentation sessions Tuesday nights from 8 to 10 PM at our downtown brooklyn headquarters (accessible via every subway in the universe). 

An internship in the TRP is right for a lot of different applicants, but is particularly suited for late-term undergrad and graduate students interested in interning for a year or so with a view towards full time employement. Mimedia proper hires routinely and preferentially out of the TRP. Additionally, mimedia project heads that attend TRP meetings cherrypick TRP members to apprentice or intern personally with them, which is a very cool experience.

We're looking for both front end & back end developers, across a variety of platforms, as well as graphic designers and other creatives. We have interest in the following demonstrable skills, but no individual applicant is expected to meet all of the below: 

1) C++ 
2) heavy javascript 
3) HTML5 experience 
4) Graphic Design prowess 
5) Python 
6) Java 
7) iOS 5 development
