Please join us for this workshop for International Students offered jointly by the Center for Career Education and the International Students and Scholar's Office (ISSO). This Workshop is the same as the one held on 9/24.
The first hour of this workshop will be delivered by CCE and will focus on the special cultural and language issues and challenges that International Students confront in the job search process. We will concentrate on the cultural norms concerning networking, body language and etiquette that may be different from your home countries. We will also focus on the challenges of improving English language skills so that you can be more effective in elevator pitches, written communications and interviewing. We will cover suggested methods of language improvement including existing resources.
The second hour of the workshop will be conducted by the ISSO and you will get expert information on the F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT) and sponsorship issues for those who are interested in working in the U.S. after completing your programs. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions about the application process.
