The Center for Career Education’s (CCE) On-Campus Recruiting Program (OCR) brings employers to campus for the purpose of meeting, interviewing and recruiting students. On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) is a critical component to the success of the On-Campus Recruiting program for both students and employers alike.
Based on recent employer and student feedback, we have updated our OCI policies and procedures. To ensure that everyone is made aware of these updates, all students must gain or re-gain OCI access*. Students who attend this event will be granted OCI access within two business days of the training.
In this training, we will provide students with an overview of The Center for Career Education services and the ways in which they can best prepare for their job search. We will also review how to search and apply for jobs and internships using LionSHARE, CCE’s online job database and recruiting system. Largely, we will speak about the On-Campus Recruiting Program, with a particular focus on on-campus interviews. Students will learn how to best prepare for on-campus interviews, become aware of both student and employer expectations throughout this process, and most importantly, learn how to utilize available resources while navigating the job search and interview process.
*Please keep in mind that if you had OCI access prior to 7/1/2013 and are currently enrolled at Columbia, your OCI access was turned off as new policies are now in place. You must complete the On-Campus Recruiting Program Overview training to re-gain access.
