For this event, we welcome Mischa Zabotin.
Mischa Zabotin (CC'85, BUS'88, SIPA'89) is the Head of International Banking for Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc. In this capacity, he and his team are charged with delivering the firm’s services in the Americas to the U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries of Crédit Agricole’s closest clients worldwide.
Prior to his current role, Mischa ran the Financial Sponsors coverage practice of Calyon in the Americas, for approximately eight years. The Financial Sponsors Group managed Calyon Americas’ relationships with Private Equity funds in North America, including the provision of acquisition financing, the delivery of capital market solutions and of advisory services to the sponsor community. The activity also involved investing firm capital in various private equity and mezzanine funds. Mischa served on the advisory board of a number of these funds.
Mischa also served as co-head of the Loan Syndication Group at Calyon Americas where he was primarily responsible for Structuring and Par Loan Trading. Since 1989 when he joined the bank, Mischa has held various other positions including Deputy Manager of the Hotel Finance Group.
Since 2009, Mischa serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the French American School of New York. FASNY is an 800+ strong N-12 School with a focus on bi-lingual education in a multi-cultural setting. As Board Chair, Mischa spearheaded a School Head leadership succession at FASNY, acquired a 128 acre property in Westchester, NY that will house the school’s new campus and represents an informal network of French-American schools in North America in negotiations with the French Government on a framework for cooperation. Prior to his election as Board Chair, Mischa Chaired the Board’s Finance committee.
In 2012, he was named a “Chevalier” in the Order of the Academic Palms by the French Minister of Education for services rendered on behalf of French Culture in the US.
He is also a trustee of the Loewy Family Foundation and serves on the Columbia College Alumni Representative Committee.

Mischa holds a B.A. from Columbia College, an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School and a Masters of International Affairs from the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs.
