Emory University is excited to announce a new summer film program: Emory at Pinewood Studios.

The course is a fully-integrated practical and academic film experience. Students admitted to this summer program will begin by spending three weeks at Emory’s Atlanta campus taking a course offered by the Department of Film and Media Studies in an accelerated format. The next three weeks are spent on the Pinewood Atlanta studio lot, located about 45 minutes south of downtown Atlanta, where students will have a variety of opportunities to gain first-hand experience in the craft and business of filmmaking. By the end of this six-week program, students will have earned not only four academic credit hours, but also invaluable exposure to world-class filmmaking from the studio that brought you such international hits as the James Bond and Superman series. Students may choose to enroll in Session I (May 19-June 27), FILM 373: The Making of: Reading and Writing Production History or in Session II (June 30-August 8), FILM 391:Major Figure: David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino.
