Search Strategies for Alumni: Finding Employment in a Difficult Market
Are you getting ready to launch your job search? Have you been looking for a while but are getting
discouraged about not finding a job? In
better times, it might have been possible to use only one or two job search
methods to land a position, but today it is necessary to employ every job search strategy at your
disposal. In this two part series (November 30 and December 7),
career professionals from the Center for Career Education will help you to
launch or jump start your job search. You will also have the opportunity to
share tips and insights about the job search process with other Columbia
alumni. While it is recommended that you attend both workshops, it is not a requirement.
One: Wednesday, November 30 - 6:30-8:00pm The Center for Career Education, Columbia University
Ready: Learn how to create your own job search plan which
starts with an evaluation of your own skills and strengths and how they relate
to the fields that you're targeting. In
addition, we will work on "Elevator Pitches" and learn how to create the best possible resumes, CV's, cover letters and job
Additional Information: This Job Search workshop series consists of two sessions. The fee for each session is $10. To register for Session 1, click the button below.
