The Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN), the Bangladesh Environmental Network (BEN), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) present “Lessons from Bangladesh for a Post-Sandy New York -- A Dialogue with Dr. Saleemul Huq”.

In light of Bangladesh's experience with planning for and adapting to the increased occurrence of catastrophic floods, this dialogue is organized to share the lessons learned in building climate and disaster resilience in coastal cities. It will feature experts from Bangladesh sharing their knowledge and discussing how these lessons can be directly applied to New York City.

Open to the public.  Registration is required.

Security Note: This event is being held at a NASA facility. Regulations require that visitors arrange in advance for a building pass. Persons who wish to attend an event at GISS who do not have a NASA badge or pass must register by 3pm on Friday, January 11.
