The public sector in Haiti has a multitude of functions to perform across a variety of sectors including securing the rule of law and legal governance, public finance, administrative control and local governance, development planning, policy formulation and plan, program and project implementations for basic social service delivery and infrastructure development (soft and hard), and monitoring and evaluation.

Mr. Jean-Louis and Mr. Cantave will discuss the landscape of capacity building efforts in Haiti and their observations on what is needed to be able to deliver on these multiple functions.  The speakers will discuss ongoing efforts and key targets for the administration to build the capacity needed.

They will also discuss the monitoring and coordination mechanisms and tools that they are currently employing.
