This spring, Scientista will be hosting an inaugural research symposium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA on Saturday, April 5th 2014. The Scientista Symposium will be a one-day conference and poster symposium for undergraduate women in STEM. This is an invaluable opportunity for a college woman such as myself to listen to inspirational talks, network with professionals from across industries and peers from across the country, and to potentially present her research on a national platform.

The Scientista Symposium is a unique, one-day event that will bring 300 campus women in STEM together to listen to inspirational talks and panels, network with peers, departments and professionals, and present their original research on a national platform. Our goal is to unite a group of intelligent, dynamic, and diverse group of women in STEM to not only gain inspiration, but to develop skill sets that will help them succeed on their career path. This year’s theme is “Scientistas Speak Up: The importance of communication in STEM.” The Symposium is complete with keynote talks and workshops from science celebrities, like Elise Andrew, founder of the 10 million-fanned Facebook page, IFLS, and inspirational professionals from across industries, from academia to medicine. ALL AGES AND GENDERS WELCOME!
